The only Rolling Loud Australia lineup that actually made it to a stage was the one-day show at Sydney Olympic Park on 27 January 2019. Two more editions were booked after that, in 2024 and 2026, and both fell apart before a single act performed. Here is who played in 2019 and what their music sounds like. For the full timeline of what happened to the festival afterwards, see our event details and history page.
The 2019 lineup
Future headlined. The Atlanta rapper had already spent most of the 2010s redefining mainstream trap with a run of mixtapes and albums, mixing Auto-Tuned melody with a famously prolific release schedule. By the time he played Sydney he was one of the most streamed rappers on the planet, so booking him as the Australian festival's first headliner was a clear statement of intent.
Rae Sremmurd, the Mississippi brother duo of Slim Jxmmi and Swae Lee, brought the party-rap side of the bill. Tracks like "No Flex Zone" and "Black Beatles" had already turned them into festival-circuit regulars by 2019, and their live show leans on crowd call-and-response as much as on the songs themselves.
YG represented the West Coast, with Compton street rap built on DJ Mustard-style production and a sharper, more political edge than most of the rest of the bill - his album "Still Brazy" had made him one of the genre's most respected voices well before he played Sydney.
Tyga, the Los Angeles rapper best known for "Rack City" and a long run of radio-friendly singles, added a pop-leaning counterpoint to the heavier trap acts around him on the lineup.
Playboi Carti was still a rising name in 2019, ahead of the rage and plugg sound he later came to define.
Smokepurpp, a Florida artist who came up through SoundCloud alongside Carti and Lil Pump, brought the louder, more aggressive end of the trap spectrum, built around blown-out 808s and short, hook-driven songs.
Manu Crooks was one of two Australian acts on the bill, and the only local name most interstate fans would have recognised at the time. The Sydney-based rapper, who grew up between Ghana and Australia, built his name fusing Atlanta-style trap with his own delivery, and he has kept releasing new material since, including an EP and singles through the mid-2020s.
Sophiegrophy was added in the final lineup update in January 2019, alongside Ski Mask the Slump God and YG. She has a lower public profile than her festival-mates from that bill, and we have not found detailed, verifiable coverage of her career beyond that booking, so we are not going to guess at specifics here.
What happened to the 2026 lineup
Rolling Loud Australia was rebooked for March 2026, with shows planned for Sydney and Melbourne, before organisers cancelled both dates about a week out. The promoters and their local partner blamed each other for missed payments, and ticket holders were pointed to refunds through the official ticketing partners rather than this site. We have not seen a verified final lineup for that cancelled run, so we are not listing one here.
